About the Artist

My name is Amal Rashid, a Kuwaiti civil engineer and multidisciplinary visual artist. Although my professional background is in engineering, art occupies the greater part of my time and life. It is the field through which I express my passion for creating beauty and transforming ideas and emotions into artistic images and visual experiences.

I have developed my artistic practice through a variety of art studies and courses, earning certifications in creative design, traditional art, calligraphy, and jewelry making. Alongside my work in hand-painted and digital art, I have also worked and continue to work in brand design and graphic design. I view my artistic journey as an ongoing process of learning and exploration, through which I seek to expand my knowledge, engage in new artistic experiences, and explore new forms of visual expression. This continuous exploration has shaped my identity as a multidisciplinary artist with diverse skills and experiences.

Throughout my professional career, I have worked on a wide range of creative projects for companies and organizations, including book cover designs for a Kuwaiti publishing house, as well as visual identities and branding for local and international brands. These projects have allowed me to explore the intersections of art, design, and visual communication, and to understand how these fields interact and complement one another in creating meaningful visual experiences.
